The grey medium face will rapidly erase scratch marks from a file, while the fine side will bring the edge to a hazy mirror finish that easily shaves. Readily absorbs and retains water, with a thin film on the surface to keep the pores of the stone free of metal fines.

EASY TO USE: Hold the stone firmly in your hand without exposing any fingers around the sharpening edge. Use either small circular motion or sweeping motions along the length of blade while counting the number used. Work on one side of tools edge before moving to the other side.
