The Sporter is WOOX’s purpose-built platform for hunterswho value traditional rifle craftsmanship without sacrificing modern performance. Built from a hand-selected piece of American Claro walnut and engineered around a precision-machined aerospace-grade aluminum mini-chassis, the Sporter combines the warmth and character of a classic hunting stock with the consistency and rigidity of a modern precision platform.
Designed around a timeless hunting silhouette, the Sporter features a slim forend, traditional grip geometry, and balanced handling optimized for carrying in the field. Weighing just 30oz, it delivers the lightweight feel hunters expect while providing the structural advantages of a fully integrated aluminum bedding system.
Every stock is individually hand-oiled to enhance the depth, texture, and natural beauty of the walnut rather than conceal it beneath synthetic finishes. Beneath the wood, the integrated aluminum mini-chassis provides repeatable bedding, increased rigidity, and long-term stability across changing temperatures, environments, and seasons.
Available in both Standard and High Grade walnut selections, every Sporter is uniquely its own. No two grain patterns are ever identical, ensuring each stock reflects the individuality of the material from which it was crafted.
The industry built polymer stocks for shooters who replace things. We built the Elegante for shooters who keep them.

CONFIRM COMPLIANCE WITH LOCAL AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS PRIOR TO INSTALLING.
Hand-finished in Hickory, NC. Precision-machined in Italy. Every piece individually selected from our Claro walnut harvest since 1937.

WOOX stocks are built for short-action centerfire Ruger American Gen II rifles & Ruger 10/22. They are designed to support the most common Ruger American barrel profiles — straight, pencil, and match — while working with single-stack magazines and AICS bottom metal. Compatible caliber setups include .243 Win, .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, and other short-action calibers, making the Elegante a premium upgrade for shooters looking to improve the feel, stability, and overall character of their Ruger American Gen II build.

WOOX Remington 700 stocks and chassis are available for common Short Action and Long Action configurations, including DBM and BDL setups, with support for standard, mountain, magnum, and varmint barrel profiles depending on the model. Also compatible with Remington 700 clone actions using Remington 700 inletting, including popular platforms such as Bergara B14, Defiance, Zermatt, Impact, Kelbly, Lone Peak, and other R700-pattern actions.
That's a question we get a lot, and we've made it easy to find out.

SIGN UPThe Elegante Sporter is built around a classic hunting silhouette with a slim forend, traditional grip geometry, and lightweight handling that feels natural the moment it is in your hands. No two stocks are the same, and that variation is the point. Built to hunt with for decades, the Elegante Sporter is the kind of rifle stock that earns its story over time and is eventually passed down with one already attached.

Backed by The Craftsman’s Stand: no-questions-asked returns, manufacturer defect replacement, blade refurbishment, and direct access to our gunsmiths—before and long after your build leaves the bench.
30 days to change your mind. For life, we stand behind it—if it fails, we make it right; if you break it, we’ll still help.

Every WOOX stock is one of one—cut from American walnut whose grain, figure, and density can’t be replicated. We don’t mold, we select—then shape and finish each piece by hand, the same way our family has worked since 1937.
That choice sets a hard limit: out of every harvest, only a small fraction meets our standard for figure, density, and structural integrity—roughly 1 in 25 blanks. From there, each piece is individually selected and hand-finished by our craftsmen.
You’re not just upgrading a rifle; you’re securing a piece that won’t exist again in the same form—made to be carried, used, and kept for a lifetime. This isn’t mass production. It’s selection, restraint, and time—resulting in a rifle you won’t see twice and won’t need to replace.
