On January 13, 1937, Francesco Minelli and his three sons—Raffaele, Felice, and Paolo—put their name on a way of working in Bergamo, Italy. They started as lumbermen in the Alpine valleys, cutting and selecting walnut by hand, then built a small workshop where that raw material was shaped with purpose.
What began there never changed in principle. The same respect for wood, the same discipline in the work, carried forward generation after generation—until it found its way to Hickory, North Carolina.
